Description

With its strongly aromatic, spicy and woody as well as fresh and enveloping scents, the olfactory note of lavender recalls a welcoming sensation of relaxation and familiarity. Its intoxicating character provides the notes it accompanies with an iconic intensity and aroma.

History

Lavender appeared on the lists of botanical gardens and apothecaries of the 15th and 16th centuries, when it began to be used also in perfumery. In the main European courts, especially in France with the Sun King, its use widespread among both ladies and knights, not only because of its unique fragrance, but also for its antiseptic and antiparasitic virtues.
